Solitude " being solo, a performance by one."
I strive to capture and create a sense of solitude in my paintings through nature. Capturing the way the light hits a certain tree, or side of a house are all images of a solo performance between the viewer and nature. Plein Air painting puts me face to face with that solo performance, through the use of light, color and form.
Ms. Lareuse grew up in Baltimore Md. where she received her formal training at MICA and The Schuler School of fine art. She has also studied under Gavin Brooks for the past couple of years. She made a career in graphics while always keeping her feet grounded in paining. She has been exhibiting her work for over 10 years.
